May 7 to 9, 2026: Explore Science Friedrichshafen

What are gates and what do they have to do with quantum computers? Find the answers by playing our game Qookies at Explore Science [German] from May 7 to 9 in Friedrichshafen! No prior knowledge is required—just curiosity!

School students and anyone else who is interested can explore current and exciting topics from the STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) field at the Uferpromenade in Friedrichshafen. At the Qookies-tent, we invite you to discover the field of quantum computing with augmented reality (AR) on tablets. Immerse yourself in a world enhanced with digital additions and meet Yuki, a quantum expert. As you solve puzzles together, you will learn more and more about the concepts of quantum physics. Discover different properties of photons (light), qubits (quantum bits), and the special features of quantum algorithms that we need to use quantum computers.

During weekdays (May 7 and 8), we will be offering workshops for registered groups. These will take place alongside our next study, in which we will investigate the influence of gaming and AR environment on the players’ learning. On Saturday (May 9), just come over to our tent and play.
